The auction's main goal is to fund our degree show and support our individual practices. This is particularly important given cuts in arts education budgets and the cost of living crisis. Any funds made will enter a pocket of money accessible to Fourth Year students to access to make their final pieces. 

Our annual auction is vital for our department, determining whether we can have a second degree show beyond Newcastle, in London or another major city. This second show often opens post-graduate opportunities for our final-year students and allows more friends and family to visit the degree show, which is of great importance to us.
